My Prime birch studio kit in gold oyster finish in main position and my live kit which is from the new Relic series. It is oak shells in a black distressed finish with accompanying distressed hardware. Paired with new Yamaha Drums Crosstown stands/hardware. Extremely cool innovation. Such a cool session. My first virtual session using Zoom to communicate with my client. I can share my screens and see everything happen in real-time. Then I’m sending audio from a killer plugin called Listento from Audiomovers. Client can hear real-time mix changes direct from my DAW as well as tracking in uncompromised quality!!! Tracked drums for a jingle yesterday here at my studio. A simple little ditty that was totally fun to play on. Went for more of a roots rock sound using my Bucks County Drum Company Birch kit in Gold Oyster Wrap with SABIAN cymbals, Evans Drumheads, Vater Drumsticks and a Big Fat Snare Drum donut on the snare. The mics were a Shure Beta91 in kick, Shure SM7 on top snare/57 on bottom snare, Sennheiser NYC 604’s on toms, Slate Digital VMS One as a mono overhead modeling a Ne...umann U67 and a Studio Projects C1 as a mono room. The audio is from a bounce of the drum mix until the very end where you can hear the drums live in the room from the iPhone audio sounding pretty phat IMO (I do single hits on the kit on all my sessions just in case I need samples or replacement of those drums).I give that last kick a little look like thanks for the support!!!!!
