Thank you to all who donated to our Teamsters Local 8 2020 Drive for $5 Food Bank. We collected $4155.17 at University Park (Which will be donated to the State College Food Bank) and the Commonwealth Campuses collected $780, donated to their local food banks. REMINDER- Tonight's Membership Meeting has been canceled
**Attention Teamsters Local 8 Members** Due to the recent occupancy restriction set by the Governor (10%, which would limit us to 12 members) and safety concerns; we are canceling December’s Membership Meeting. We will be doing the 2020 Food Drive drawings during our Executive Board meeting and will live stream that drawing on Facebook. All winners will be contacted.... If you have money to drop off for the Food Drive donation- Please get that to the Hall no later than 12PM Wednesday, December 9, 2020 to be entered into the drawing. James R. Hoffa Memorial Scholarship Eligibility: For the sons, daughters and financial dependents of Teamster members (including the BMWED, BLET, GCC and TCRC). Academic scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $10,000 for high school seniors planning to attend a four-year college or university and Training/Vocational program awards of up to $2,000 for use at community colleges and trade schools. UPDATE: When you go to file your biweekly claim, the claim weeks available may go back to September. You will have to go through each biweekly claim (select "no" to do you wish to file and "working" for these past few months.) After each biweekly claim you must log out and log back in to file the next set of weeks. When you get to the biweekly claim you wish to file for- If it asks your first day you worked= enter the day you started back to work after the 1st layoff. If you were not laid off- select the earliest date it will allow (I believe it only goes back to 2019)
