The cyber charter reform plan being proposed would use $9,500 as a flat rate for cyber charter tuition and apply the Special education Funding Formula to all charter schools. By an estimate - this would save a lot of local property tax dollars - $229 million statewide. This would lead to Parkland saving $675,512.94 annually (Thanks Mark for doing the specific math), money the district can definitely use in this challenging year.
