Special thanks to Sales Director Christina, Chef David, and all who lent a helping hand during the Drive By Tailgate event.
It's February and love is in the air! Listen to residents share their experiences and what they love about their home at Legend Senior Living residences.
Morning fitness has been the highest attended activity for months! Probably because of all the baking done in Culinary Creations. These tasty raisin muffins, made last week when snowed in, are just an example of the wonderful treats we baked.

We concluded Oktoberfest week festivities with a Bavarian pretzel class. Starting with homemade dough similar to white bread, we learned that taking a dip in a baking soda and water solution is what gives a pretzel it’s characteristic color and flavor. Folks had the opportunity to make their own pretzel, while a few made pretzels for staff to sample. Did you know the first American pretzels were from German immigrants in Pennsylvania?
Oktoberfest was wunderbar! Reflection residents started the party at lunch (as pictured) and kept it going all afternoon. Personal care residents enjoyed an indoor Oktoberfest tent with traditional German music. All enjoyed regional treats such as apfelstrudel, pretzels, pastry wrapped sausages, and apfelschorle (a non-alcoholic fizzy cider drink).
Thank you, Chef David, for the wonderful Oktoberfest meal at lunch today! Hopefully, we’ve saved enough room for the party later.
We spent the last crafter’s corner getting ready for the Oktoberfest party. Check out these centerpieces that we made for our upcoming party!
We love hearing positive feedback from the residents and the families we serve. Each one is a testament to the hard work and dedication embodied by each associate who serve the emotional, physical, mental and spiritual needs of each and every resident.
We interrupt your Friday to tell you that Ray is 100 today! Happy Birthday, Ray!
As Willie Nelson sang, On the road again, I just can’t wait to get on the road again, Legend of Allentown hit the road today on their first outing since March! Folks had the opportunity to sign up for a scenic country ride during their zoned morning activity or stay home for a fitness class. With a few riders at a time spread over a few trips to allow for proper social distancing (except for married couples like Shirley and Pete), the gang was thrilled to see the changing leaves. We didn’t even mind the rain!
