Our second shipment to the troops from SAL member and grandkids
It is with great sadness the Alliance announces that POW/MIA activist Gerald McCullar passed away last night at the age of 79. Many know him for his reenactment... as the "POW in the tiger cage". He was a dedicated Rolling Thunder member, a Vietnam era veteran, and a friend to many. For 29 years, Gerald would sit cramped into his replica of a bamboo "tiger cage" wearing tattered clothes and refusing food and water for the duration of the annual Rolling Thunder Ride for Freedom and Rally in Washington, DC. One of our favorite memories of the reenactment is in one of the pictures below. Gerald is reaching out to shake the hand of former WWII POW Gerry Walters at the 2014 Rolling Thunder Ride for Freedom.
