Emily from Team LOFT and her sister Chloe have come up with a great way to head off sisterly closet stealing: gift each other one Lou & Grey set each. We call it the gift of soft. (Good thinking, you two.) http://spr.ly/6186HBzN0

VOTE. Let’s do our part, let’s do our civic duty, let’s do this. See you at the polls! (Unless of course you voted early, in which case: nice job.) [ by Loria Stern]

We're team treats-only around here...and looks like Plum Street Collective is too. Recipe below, and happy Halloween! Ingredients: 3/4 c. butter softened 3/4 c. brown sugar... 1/2 c. white sugar 1 egg 3/4 tsp. vanilla 2 c. flour 3/4 tsp. salt 3/4 tsp baking soda 1.5 c. chocolate chips M&M Candies (I use about 4-5 on the top of each) Instructions: 1. Cream butter and sugars in stand mixer for 2-3 minutes. 2. Add egg and vanilla and keep beating for 1 min. 3. Meanwhile in a separate bowl mix flour, salt, and baking soda. 4. Slowly add dry mixture to wet mixture and cream. Then add the chocolate chips and mix quickly until incorporated. 5. Using a cookie scoop (2-3 tbsp. works best), scoop dough onto cookie sheet. Top each scooped ball of dough with 4-5 M&Ms. 6. Freeze cookie sheet with dough on it for 30 minutes or longer until dough is hard and frozen! 7. Remove dough from freezer. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or a silicon baking mat. Place frozen balls on it, evenly spaced (8-12 per sheet works great). 8. Bake in preheated 375 degrees for 7-9 minutes, until tops are lightly browning. Because the dough was frozen the tops may look rounded (top is brown, inside is still gooey). Once tops are light brown, remove from oven and transfer pan to top of stove to cool. Let cool on cookie sheet for 10 minutes before eating or transferring.

Quick denim endorsement from pro ballerina and LOFTimist Mimi Tompkins: "It is the most comfortable jean I have ever worn, yet is so flattering with the flare. I felt like my legs went on for days!" We can't promise you that putting them on will make you instantly do a perfect arabesque...but we might try anyway. Meet more LOFTimists over at http://spr.ly/6184GCHYj!
