March 15, 2020 Dear Families, As we continue to stay on top of the Coronavirus Disease, we will be closing Maple Shade to visitors as of Monday, March 16, 2020. The Department of Human Services has highly recommended that personal care/assisted living facilities follow the Department of Health’s recommendations regarding closure of health care facilities. Even though we are disappointed, we are following these recommendations in regards to the health and welfare of our resi...dents. If you should have any reason to pick up your loved one, please call ahead and we will bring them to the front door to meet you. Everyone [including staff] entering the building for any reason must follow the safety precautions that were instituted on Friday. The closure is for an undetermined amount of time and you will be contacted regularly for updates. You may call us at any time with any questions or concerns. Maple Shade Meadows is taking advantage of #NALW by celebrating the healthcare heroes who care for their residents every day. The week has been full of crafts, ...snacks and words of praise. Earlier this week, staff created a thank you board full of cards they wrote to each other, residents made gifts for staff and everyone enjoyed an ice cream social. We can't wait to see what tomorrow's staff luncheon has in store! What a wonderful way to show staff how much they are appreciated! #AllinforALPC

The Chef/Cook is responsible for hot/cold food preparation to support residents, employees and guest. Prepares and cooks food from menus and/or recipes in accordance with current applicable Federal, State and County standards, quidelines and regulations, with our established policies and procedures to assure that quality food service is provided at all times. Every other weekend and every other holiday hours required. Requirements: 2-5 years fine dining experience or related ...restaurant or long term experience. High School Diploma or GED - required. Experience providing quality customer service including needs assessment, meeting quality standards and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously, has ability to prioritize work and resolve emergencies as they may occur. Working knowledge of sanitary practices relating to food handling. Good communication skills and ability to effectively interact with others (employees, residents and their families).
