Evaluation of patients with ongoing symptoms of Borreliosis (Chronic Lyme disease) and other Tick-borne infections. Patients with a recent tick bite or a Bull's eye rash may be scheduled on same day whenever possible, or within three business days. Dr. Marina Makous completed a two-year Fellowship in Lyme and other Tick-Borne Diseases, and is continuing to work as an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at the Department of Psychiatry at Columbia University's Lyme and Tick-...borne Diseases Research Center. She is Board-Certified in Family Medicine. In her private practice in Exton, Pennsylvania, she carefully evaluates and treats patients with suspected or known tick-borne diseases, as well as patients struggling with the neurological and psychiatric complications of chronic diseases. She provides attentive, individualized medical and psychological care that enables her patients to rehabilitate and heal. Dr. Makous recently relocated to Chester County, PA to focus on seeing patients at her Exton Office. Until recently, she was working as an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at the Department of Psychiatry, Columbia University, NYC. Her main focus was at Columbia University was Lyme and Tick-Borne Diseases Research Center, where she evaluated patients with suspected or chronic Lyme and other Tick-Borne Diseases. Dr. Makous Completed a 2-year Fellowship in Lyme and Tick B...orne Diseases at the Neuro-Inflammatory Diseases Center at the Department of Psychiatry at Columbia University. Dr. Makous offers evaluation and treatment to patients who have struggled with persistent symptoms of chronic diseases and their neuro-psychiatric complications. Dr. Makous has presented at several Lyme disease-focused conferences, including the ILADS conferences in DC and in Philadelphia, and at the Columbia-Lyme Disease Association Conference in Providence, Rhode Island.
