Is 12 hour shifts with one bathroom break Is not washing or styling your own hair for a week straight because you’re exhausted fro...m doing everyone else’s Is getting color on your new shirt the first time you wear it Is being shown the same Pinterest picture 5 times in a row with 5 completely different starting points Is learning to scarf down a meal in 2 minutes flat Is always having stained hands and fingernails therefore always repeating, I do hair, when you catch people staring Is coming home on a Saturday and wanting nothing more than a hot bath, foot rub, and Netflix marathon Is texts at 11:00pm wondering what openings you have coming up Is last minute cancellations & no-shows Is weekly chiropractic visits In Hair winding up in every crevice of your body imaginable Is being able to do chemistry while carrying on a full conversation Is at times not feeling adequate Is carrying the pressure of how someone feels about themselves BUT the Life If a Hairstylist is so much more.. It’s passion, art, and creativity all in one It’s being surrounded by people who love their craft as much as you It’s being pushed to not only grow your skills but also your mind on a daily basis It’s being there for people in ways you never thought you’d be It’s never getting tired of puting a smile on someone’s face It’s earning trust and building relationships with strangers It’s connecting with people face to face rather than behind a screen It’s being with people and listening through graduations, deaths, marriages, breakups, babies, illnesses, houses It’s the feeling you get when you share with someone happiness, confidence, and kindness It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done yet also the most rewarding The Life of a Hairstylist... I'm not saying this against an...y of my professional friends <3 It is a matter of fact clapback to an argument that has no grounds Is Monat a professional hair care product? Professional hair products are readily available. *True professional products are formulated in a professional environment like a lab with a panels of scientists. *True professional products are concentrated and use a higher grade of ingredients, and contain less water. *True professional products are only sold by those who have been trained or licensed. This would include a hair product rep that is not even necessarily a licensed cosmetologist or barber. *True professional products don’t contain petroleum, parabens, and waxes or create a build up. The industry is working hard to use more natural friendly ingredients and bring to eliminate sulfates and silicone from products, but many products still contain them. *True professional products give you results. They provide systems that cater to your hair type and the results that you want. *When you purchase true professional hair products from a hair stylist, you are contributing directly to them. Whether they take that profit and use it towards their business or for personal reasons, you are supporting an actual person not a corporation. Are you following me here?? When you purchase Monat from a trained Market Partner, you are supplementing their personal income that goes directly towards them and their family and they actually use the product!!! Some hair stylists sell products that they don’t even use nor have they ever used! But does it matter that it doesn't have a sticker that says "only sold by professionals" because it owns up to every single classification of what makes a hair product professional. ALL of them! Please, if you have read the argument that Monat is bad for your hair because it isn’t professional, it’s just NOT a valid argument. Sorry. I am a licensed cosmetologist of 14 years. A mother. A wife. A supplement to my family’s income. and a damn proud Monat Market Partner that has used every professional product known to man. And with Monat, I have the best hair that I’ve ever had in my life!
