Good Afternoon Everyone, As you all well know I don't get on Facebook often but when I do it is to make a valuable statement. Today in the Borough of Mayfield w...e had a dispatch for a possible structure fire with possible entrapment (of a child). Without any doubt or question two brave individuals entered the residence attempted to knock down the fire in the living room area and also check for any residents that might be trapped inside. The first two Individuals on scene were SERGEANT EDWARD PERECHINSKY of the Mayfield Police Department and JAMES RUDE a Mayfield Borough resident (also a former Mayfield Officer) neither of which worried about their well being but put others as priority. In todays world with all the bad publicity that police are receiving I think incidents like this should be mentioned to show that police are and always will be there to assist others putting their safety second. I also want to Thank All Fire Fighters and EMS that responded today knocking down fire and maintaining officer and resident safety. In closing I would like to publicly say I'm very proud of my son Edward who is also my Sergeant, its an absolute pleasure to have a person of his stature in my police Department. Thank you for serving our community with me....
