Can you fly Multi engine turbine under Basic Med? Check out Advisory Circular 68-1A and find the answers about Basic med. Or just ask one of our fantabulous ( did i spell that right ) flight instructors and they will tell you yes you can, so long as it meets the other restrictions there is no limit to what type of aircraft you fly under Basic med. Here is a free class from King that will explain if you should get a regular FAA medical, or if basic med works for you https://www.kingschools.com/productdetail3v2.asp

For Instrument pilots, maintaining the recency of experience requirements is difficult. Often the easiest way was in a simulator. Many commercial pilots return to the Sim every six months for recurrent. I understand 777 pilots have to go every 90 days to actually log landings. For instrument rated private pilots you had to find an approved FTD (flight training device) and an instructor to complete your 6 approaches, holds tracking etc. You no longer Need an instructor now ...to complete your experience using an FTD. You new guys probably knew this.. Here is an excerpt from 61.51 Pay close attention to (5) (g) Logging instrument time. (1) A person may log instrument time only for that flight time when the person operates the aircraft solely by reference to instruments under actual or simulated instrument flight conditions. (2) An authorized instructor may log instrument time when conducting instrument flight instruction in actual instrument flight conditions. (3) For the purposes of logging instrument time to meet the recent instrument experience requirements of 61.57(c) of this part, the following information must be recorded in the person's logbook (i) The location and type of each instrument approach accomplished; and (ii) The name of the safety pilot, if required. (4) A person may use time in a full flight simulator, flight training device, or aviation training device for acquiring instrument aeronautical experience for a pilot certificate or rating provided an authorized instructor is present to observe that time and signs the person's logbook or training record to verify the time and the content of the training session. (5) A person may use time in a full flight simulator, flight training device, or aviation training device for satisfying instrument recency experience requirements provided a logbook or training record is maintained to specify the training device, time, and the content.

Most of the people reading this page are Private Pilots with a hundred hours or so... If you fly only a few hours a year in the local area its easy to forget some basic information and its important to keep up with training. Here is a free course that is helpful especially if you decide to go to unfamiliar airports. https://www.kingschools.com//airport-runway-signs-and-mark
