So we worked tirelessly for 3 days in a community most rescuers steer clear of. A place that is a little poorer than that in which you live in, or those around... you. A place that still has their pride and are working to make things better. They are the first city I worked with that took responsibility for their community cats. They stand above the others and said they are our burden, we will do this, just show us how. They paid for it. That will set the way for other prominent areas to pay for the humane care of their own community cats and not burden non profit rescues who survive solely on donations. I've worked in a lot of places., trapping, teaching, and helping. I can say with all my heart I am proud of the folks here. I am proud of them for offering humane solutions and not considering anything less to just make the problem go away. They welcome their fixed and vaccinated cats back and the education that goes with them. I hope when you read this the tears fall because mine surely are. This is a turning point in all we have tried to accomplish for so very long for our TNR cats. If you can simply wish for a better tomorrow, than you can be the inspiration for change to become. No one is asking for miracles nor perfection, but even if it's a little better.....it's a job well done. It is always worth every effort put forth. Every wish that can be mustered is a dream made possible. Do good things and help them along the way
