On Saturday, October 17, representatives from the Township joined with invited elected officials and members of the North Penn community to celebrate first resp...onders and the launching of the book "We Are You," written by George Whitehair. This book tells the stories of immigrants from 14 countries and their various contributions to our country. The book has special significance for the Township as it features our own Officer Bins Thomas. Tanya Bamford, Chair of the Board of Supervisors speaking on behalf of the Township, remembered her mother who recently passed away, stating She always said that a good recipe was the sum of its ingredients. The same is true of our region. The North Penn area is a wonderful place to live and work and our diversity is the secret to our sauce. Diversity lends our area depth, complexity, and richer texture. The accomplishments of the fourteen immigrants featured in this book are a testament to this."
