As the COVID-19 coronavirus crisis drags on, we’re all feeling a bit of pandemic fatigue. It’s not easy dealing with so much uncertaintyespecially when you’re in recovery. At Mountain Laurel Recovery Center, we encourage our clients to turn to sober hobbies as a form of stress relief and mental health support. Judgment is not helpful for someone with an addiction because it only furthers the feelings of shame and guilt they already feel. It also helps perpetuate the harmful addiction stigma that reduces motivation to seek treatment.
