UPDATE WED 8/12/2020 SEASON DECISION Dear Parents, Football Players, and Cheerleaders,... It is with great sadness to inform you the 2020 NHYFA season is cancelled. After much thought and deliberation over the pros and cons I have decided to cancel the season. The health of the children, their families, community, our coaches and Board was just not worth the risk. With the ever changing rules and restrictions put forth by Allegheny County and the State, it is to the point were any form of a season would not be productive for the children. Along with trying to put forth protocols to ensure the health and safety of the children it has become apparent that the best and safest step would be to cancel the season. I want to thank the NHYFA Board for their never-ending time and effort in trying to get a season for the children. Their no quit attitude is what makes them the very best. Their positive attitude is what gave us a chance at a season. Also, Pat Weber and the North Hills School Board were great. They constantly offered guidance and insight to NHYFA to help us throughout the process. With that being said, it is time to move on and allow the children an opportunity to find activity elsewhere until things get back to "normal". I will meet with the Board in the near future to go over ideas that may allow us to get together as an organization at a later date. Unfortunately, it won't be on the football field for this year. Keep an eye on your email, Facebook and website for future plans. All refunds are currently being addressed and a date will be set for you to pick up your check at Ross. UPDATE 8/10/20 PLEASE SHARE Hi everyone, We hope you all are well and healthy!... Unfortunately we are NOT able to start practice tonight. Due to the recent changes with the North Hills School District and the PIAA ruling on Friday we will have to postpone our start date. I hope to have more information to everyone by Wednesday. Also, please note, if we do not have a season at all you will be refunded your full amount, this includes cheer. If we start the season and we give you your raffle tickets you will not be refunded. Thank you for your continued patience, we are doing everything we can to make this happen for our children, but our utmost concern is their health and safety. Thank you for your continued support. UPDATE 8/7/20 In light of the recent announcements from PIAA and NHSD, we are patiently waiting for an answer to our season. This is all we have at this time and will be in touch by Monday. Thank you for your patience.

NEW UPDATE 7/31/20 Hi Everyone, We told you to NOT COUNT US OUT! We are having a football season! At this time we are not 100% sure how it will look exactly but we do know that the kids will have game day experience. With that being said please register your child immediately if you have not done so. The cost for Football (only) is $150 and we will still offset your costs with the lottery tickets. Registration will be open for 1 week only so do not delay. There w...ill be no exceptions after August 7th and we will not issue any refunds if the season is cut short for any reason. Register at www.nhyfa.com Football heat acclimation will begin at Ross on Monday, August 10th at 6pm "tentatively". This will be shorts, t shirt, and spikes only. We will begin giving out equipment that week as well. Please bring plenty of water for your child. Additional information will follow early next week. Refunds will be addressed after August 8th. This is all the information I have at this time so please check our website, facebook and email regularly. More information on plans for Cheerleading will follow in the next week or so.
