North Middleton Township

The North Middleton Township Christmas Tree Lighting will be held on Saturday, December 5th at 5:30 pm in front of the Municipal Building. Hot Chocolate and cookies will be served after the tree lighting. Please follow CDC guidelines and maintain social distancing and everyone must wear a mask. Leaf pick-up will be held the weeks of November 16th and December 14th. Residents should put their leaves in craft bags, 30 gallon natural brown paper bags, which can be purchased at either Lowe's or Home Depot or in metal or plastic trash cans clearly marked Yard Waste which will be emptied and returned to the curb.

Recreation Advisory Board Vacancy The Recreation Advisory Board of North Middleton Township is seeking a resident to fill a vacancy through 2022. Board members must be residents of North Middleton Township. The Board meets once a month, January thru October to discuss, plan and implement recreational programs and policies. The Board oversees usage of North Middleton Park, Village Park and Creekview Park in the Township.... Effective October 26th, the bathrooms at all North Middleton Parks will be winterized and closed until Spring 2021. The parks will still be open to visit.

The Supervisors of the Township of North Middleton, Cumberland County, PA will accept written public comments pursuant to the Township’s Draft MS4 Pollution Reduction Plan (PRP) Addendum from August 7, 2020 until September 8, 2020. The PRP Addendum details revisions to how the municipality will meet the nutrient reduction requirements established by PA DEP in PAG-13. The draft PRP Addendum may be viewed at the Township Office, 2051 Spring Road, Carlisle, PA 17013; Monday thru Friday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. Written comments pertaining to the PRP Addendum should be submitted to the same address. A public presentation for the PRP Addendum will be held on August 20, 2020 during the regularly scheduled Township Supervisors meeting beginning at 6:00 pm.

Weather permitting, seal coating will begin Thursday, August 6th for the following roads; Park Avenue Coral Drive Pleasant Hall Road... Cranes Gap (Between North Middleton Road and 944) Easy Road (Between 74 to Willow Grove Road) Residents may want to adjust travel routes accordingly.

Due to the high heat Advanced Disposal will be starting trash pick up at 3:00 am until further notice.

**This position has been filled** Zoning Hearing Board Member Vacancies North Middleton Township is seeking two (2) residents that may be interested in volunteering to serve as a member on the North Middleton Township Zoning Hearing Board. These appointments will be to fill current active five (5) year terms that run through 2020 and 2024, respectfully. The Zoning Hearing Board is a quasi-judicial branch of Township government with respect to the Township's Zoning Ordinance.... The Board meets on an as needed basis to hear and render decisions regarding zoning matters such as applications for variances and special exceptions from the terms of the zoning Ordinance, appeals from the decision of the Zoning Officer, and any other validity challenges of the Zoning Ordinance. Brush pick up will begin on Monday, June 8. Brush should be in bundles, tied with twine, no longer than 4 feet long and no more than 40 pounds per bundle. You may put smaller twigs and branches in metal or plastic trash cans clearly marked Yard Waste which will be emptied and returned to the curb.

Advanced Disposal to Resume Bulk Pickup on June 1, 2020 Advanced Disposal is tentatively set to resume bulk pick up on June 1, 2020. They will have additional trucks to accommodate picking up the bulk items that they have not been able to collect due to the pandemic for the last 2 months.
