February’s #AirportSpotlight is Chris Garber, Line Service Manager for Laurel Highlands Jet Center (formerly Vee Neal). Chris has been with Vee Neal Aviation/Laurel Highlands Jet Center for 14 years. He manages the fuel quality and inventory for general aviation and military operations, and oversees all ramp operations. He also is the social media manager for the company. Chris has his private pilot’s license and loves flying. His wife, Alicia, also has her private pilot’s ...license and along with their two children, all love flying together. He and his wife fly a Piper tri-pacer that they own and have a deep lifelong passion for aviation. Don Armitage, Vice President at Laurel Highlands Jet Center, describes Chris as a highly engaged employee who makes a great customer experience. He is always willing to work well beyond the responsibilities of his job. We consider him a great asset. Chris loves his job and loves the airport. One of his favorite quotes, "Life is a journey, Enjoy the flight!"

Today ACP President Gabe Monzo (with the Arnold Palmer Regional Airport ) hosted the PIA - Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics and the Hosanna House, Inc. to discuss the possibility of creating a new aviation program for the Hosanna House's students.

FYI------------ The map app on the iPhone shows incorrect directions for the airport. The directions are 148 Aviation Lane, LATROBE. The app sends you to Export. We have apple working to get this fixed, so in the meantime, follow directions on google or some other map app, not the iPhone PLEASE SHARE!

The #EmployeeHighlight for December is Bryan Zeiler. Bryan began working as a Ramp Service Agent in June, 2019. Bryan is a station trainer and assists in overseeing the ramp operation as a lead. Bryan has always been passionate about aviation. From the time I was young, I knew that I wanted to pursue a career that involved working in this industry. I set a goal to earn my pilot’s license, and began my training at the age of 14 in Orlando, FL. Since then, I have continued t...o broaden my horizons and trained to fly in Scottsdale, AZ and even right here in Latrobe where I performed my first solo flight! Every day I strive to make an impact in the aviation community and all it has to offer. Working as a ramp agent at the Arnold Palmer Regional Airport has provided me with an opportunity to be around what I love most in life...planes! I am truly grateful, and my gratitude for everyone here at the airport will never be taken for granted. Ramp Service Manager John Hall "Bryan is enthusiastic, dedicated, and possesses unparalleled attention to detail. He is a wonderful co-worker and friend to all of his fellow team members."

Our #EmployeeHighlight for November is Annastahia Jackson. Annastahia has worked for our Airlines Services Dept. as a Guest Service Agent for Spirit Airlines for over a year. She assists passengers from reservations, to checking in for their flight, to boarding the aircraft. Annastahia has always had a passion for travel and she knew this was the field she wanted to work in after her graduation from Indiana Area High School, where she would pursue higher education in travel a...nd tourism. Annastahia is the proud mom of 3 children whom she encourages to be the best version of themselves and to keep God first in everything they do and pursue. Her motto is If you don’t have a passion for what you are doing, then you are unhappy in what you are doing. You are not doing your God-given ministry of the opportunity to help others. Annastahia is friendly, courteous, and caring, all attributes that translate into a great customer service agent. We are lucky to have her, Gabe Monzo, Airport Executive Director.
