What’s Happened to the Rule of Law in this Country. With trump in the WH and the dismissals and resignations of men simply because of accusations with no evidence, it is like we’re living in 1930’s Germany. I think the pendulum needs to swing back to center.

We had to take Carley to the hospital again last night because of a flare up from her MAST CELL DISEASE. This Is a very tough and dangerous situation because of... the rarity of this disease. No one knows anything about it or how to treat it because only 4% of people in the world have it. Once again they had to rush her back to the trauma room because she was losing her airway and struggling to breath fdue to her anaphylactic reaction. They called the rapid response team to quickly intervene and help her. Carley had to get 4 injections of Epinepherine, three rounds of breathing treatments and a slew of medications to open up her throat and lungs. Once again it was impossible to get an IV in her because her veins are so scarred and collapsed. This makes it an even more dangerous situation because They cannot administer the medications quick enough to help her. Standing there helplessly watching her suffering and struggling to breathe and Not knowing what the outcome will be is terrifying. As a mom your most important priority is to protect your kids and keep them safe. Having to put your trust, and the life of your child in some strangers hands, time after time while you are powerless over the situation is unbearable. All that you can do is to pray to God to help save her life. Unfortunately, most of these episodes are so severe that she has to be intubated and put on a ventilator to save her life. Sadly, this visit ended up that way. Carley is in the ICU on a ventilator. All of these many hospitals that we take her to treat her emergently, stabilize her and have to send her home because they do not specialize in this rare disease. There is ONE hospital that has knowledge of this rare disease, has a doctor who specializes in this rare disease and who treats it. They also have a special program for people with rare blood diseases and cancer who are between the ages of 19 to 35. Carley is 25. That hospital is CHOP. THE CHILDRENS HOSPITAL OF PHILADELPHIA. The hospital that Carley has been treated at her entire childhood life until she was 21. She was just diagnosed with this rare disease a year ago and we have been all over the US trying to get treatment for her because there are a very few doctors who specialize in this. Every single hospital that we have gone to has referred her back to CHOP because that is where Carley’s entire medical history is and they do have a specialist for this disease there. CHOP is heartlessly refusing my daughter treatment there. There is no exact reason why they are refusing my very ill daughter the life saving treatment that she needs and that only they can provide. They will not even speak to us about it or make an appointment to meet with us. We have had a lot of people involved in trying to get CHOP to treat my daughter but all have failed. Carley is without help or treatment and she is getting more sicker with more debilitating symptoms with each day that passes. There is no cure for this but there is help that she desperately needs. I thought that doctors and medical institutions took an oath to help and save ALL people in need, not kill them. CHOP decides whose life is worth saving and whose is not! Obviously they think that Carley’s is not! CARLEY’S LIFE IS WORTH SAVING!!!! Please help Carley get the help that she deserves and so desperately needs by sharing her story and making people aware of what CHOP is so unfairly doing to her.

A group of Penn grad students who fear for the future of Philly’s current police headquarters, known as The Roundhouse, are using social media to organize sup...port for the building, PlanPhilly reported. While there are no immediate plans to demolish the building at 8th and Race once police administration is moved to West Philly, PlanPhilly reported that the building’s future doesn’t look too hopeful. Enter the Save the Roundhouse Facebook group. With its nearly 200 followers, its postings of old photos of the landmark and its recent media attention, the group has been raising awareness for a building that might have otherwise been forgotten until it appeared on the chopping block.
