President Biden knows it's good policy to invest in American manufacturing. "This executive order will close loopholes that allow agencies to sidestep Buy Ame...rican requirements and increase the thresholds for domestic content. We know that when America’s workers are given a level playing field, we can compete with anyone. This order is a good first step in revitalizing U.S. manufacturing, which Trump’s policies failed to do over the past four years." - President Richard Trumka. Buy American. Buy Union. See more

For more than 7 decades the League of Women Voters of Pennsylvania has advocated for merit selection of appellate court judges. The American Bar Association, PA... Bar Association, and Committee on Economic Development, an association of national business leaders, all support merit selection as a proven alternative to partisan elections. House Bill 38, a bill to create judicial districts, moves in exactly the wrong direction. Call PA House leaders to express opposition to HB 38 and ask for a vote on merit selection. For the third consecutive year, the Philadelphia Building Trades has designated the Greater Delaware Valley Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society a...s our charity beneficiary. Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is an unpredictable disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and the body. MS does not discriminate. It can attack men and women of all ages, races and ethnicities. At its worst, it can render its victims paralyzed and wheelchair-bound. Although there is currently no cure for MS, there have been major strides in the development of effective drugs that slow the progression of the disease and its debilitating effects on the human central nervous system. With continued financial support, research and new scientific breakthroughs, there is a real sense of hope that a cure is achievable in our lifetime.
