TEACHER FEATURE: LILI CAI Lili earned her BM Piano Performance, Colorado State University as a student of Dr. Janet Zandreth. Lili is a new addition to The Pittsburgh Music Academy, starting in 2017. She is experienced in using the Faber Piano Adventure Method and her students have won prizes in the Hong Kong International Piano Competition. Ms. Cai won the Silver Medal in the 2012 Tokyo International Piano Competition and the Bronze Medal in the 2014 International Keyboard ...Odyssiad and Festival. Here are some FUN facts about LIli: I started to play the piano when I was 4 years old. My favorite color right now is lemon yellow, it looks bright and happy. Pittsburgh is a friendly city, it's not a large city, but every friend I have is great, every colleague I have helps me a lot. Always has great weather too! I like seafood because the city I've grown up in has the best seafood.

TEACHER FEATURE: BEN MEYER Ben began his guitar journey in Illinois where he received a Bachelor of Music Business from Millikin University in Decatur, IL. From 2012 to 2015, his passion for teaching became inspired by the methodology of Aaron Shearer where he was met by Co-authors of the Shearer Method, Alan Hirsh and Thomas Kikta. Following his passion he studied the Shearer method extensively with Thomas Kikta from 2015 to 2017 at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pa, whe...re he received a Master of Classic Guitar Performance. Currently, he teaches across the Pittsburgh area as an adjunct professor for Duquesne University and various studios. He performs around the United States and abroad in Paris, France with the United States Guitar Orchestra, small and large ensembles, and solo guitar. FUN FACTS ABOUT BEN: Ben Started to play the Guitar at the age of !! His favorite color is GREEN I love the hills and scenery of Pittsburgh the most. I grew up in Illinois and being a flat state, I find Pittsburgh’s geography just so lively. Favorite food or meal...answering honestly its popcorn! I love popcorn and going to the movies :) Ben is currently excepting students at PMA!
