Event Page: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/anders-tegnell-the-swedish-cor You may have seen in the news that Sweden has went its own way as the coronavirus pandemic hit Europe in spring, deciding against a lockdown. For example, most areas of public life from bars and restaurants, to schools for the under 16s remained open.... Anders Tegnell is the man that has personified the Swedish strategy and he will join us in a discussion with SACC San Fransisco Executive Director Mats Andersson, on August 26. There will also be a possibility for the audience to ask questions. With courtesy from our chamber in San Francisco we are able to offer you this unique opportunity to listen live to Sweden’s more relaxed strategy and Sweden’s response to the outbreak.

WORDS FROM AN INTERN! Are you considering applying to one of our internship positions this fall? We asked our intern Anna Wifvesson a few questions about her time as a marketing intern at SACC PHL. What experience throughout the internship has taught you the most? ... On a professional level, I have learned how the American business culture works. On a personal level, I have learned that you grow the most outside of your comfort zone. Why do you think someone should choose to work for the Chamber in Philadelphia, over any other Chamber in the US? As an intern at SACC PHL, you have the opportunity to attend plenty of events! You are given a lot of responsibility and get the chance to develop the Chamber, which is an invaluable experience! Philadelphia is also very close to New York, so you can easily go there for day trips (but avoid the high living expenses). Finish the sentence: Being a SACC intern taught me to.... Be more independent and practice my English skills. What will you miss the most about living in Philadelphia? There are too many things! To name a few: eating brunch at Marathon Grill, happy hours at McGillin's, and having skyscrapers as a view on my daily walks to the office.
WORDS FROM A FORMER INTERN! Are you considering applying to one of our internship positions this fall? We asked former intern Amanda Nelzén a few questions about her time as a marketing intern at SACC PHL. Amanda is 28 years old. She studied Language, Culture, and Communication at Linnaeus University and is currently working as a Communication Officer at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. ... What was your most valuable learning experience throughout the internship period? Project Management. The activities and projects we arranged during my time at SACC PHL started as brainstorming clutter to becoming actual events. It was a lot of fun to create something from scratch and see it develop. Some ideas were great, and others were not so great - kill your darlings. Why would you recommend someone to do an internship at SACC PHL? It is a great way to build confidence in preparation for your future job. You will learn to work independently, be creative, and trust yourself. Finish the sentence: Being a SACC intern taught me how to.. make the most of my opportunities. What do you miss the most about living in Philadelphia? A memory I think of quite often is running over the Benjamin Franklin Bridge and seeing the beautiful Philadelphia skyline!
WORDS FROM AN INTERN! Are you considering applying to one of our internship positions this fall but would like to know more before you do so? We asked our intern Anna Pålsson a few questions about her time as a marketing intern at SACC PHL. What experience throughout the internship has taught you the most?... I have enjoyed the freedom. It has taught me how to take initiatives and has given me the confidence to express my own thoughts and ideas. Finish the sentence: "Being a SACC Intern taught me how to....believe in myself! Why do you think someone should choose to work for the Chamber in Philadelphia, over any other Chamber in the US? Philadelphia might seem rough around its edges, but the city has so much character. It’s one of the oldest cities in America and has a lot to offer. I am sure anyone would enjoy living in Philadelphia and experience the east coast culture. The chamber offers its interns a lot of independence and freedom to focus on personal goals. What will you miss the most about living in Philadelphia? I’ll miss walking around in Fishtown, all of the beautiful murals around the city, my favorite building (City Hall), people-watching on the subway, and good ol’ Trader Joe’s!
