Safe Harbour recognizes the ongoing support of F&M Trust and is extremely grateful for their support of our annual campaign. Safe Harbour donors met (and exceeded) the challenge of 25-$1,000 donations during the appeal which F&M Trust rewarded with not only their own $1,000 gift but an additional $2,000! The 2020-21 campaign raised a record $115,474 with 29 donors contributing $1,000 or more! Thank you to our supportive community! What's that on the roof? It's a group of courageous volunteers from CEFC Church sealing the fire escape walkways at Safe Harbour! Thank you to this generous (and probably sunburned) group who completed the job! Volunteers are always appreciated at Safe Harbour!

It's Shelter Dog, Sailour's First Birthday! We celebrated with presents, cards, and treats and for both canine and human-yum! Event Update! Safe Harbour will NOT host the Sip N Savour event in 2021. In order to hold the event in the way we all enjoy, we have decided it is best to postpone the event until next Spring! Until then, stay safe as the community rebounds from the COVID-19 pandemic and visit our friends at: Market Cross Pub & Brewery Carlisle... Castlerigg Wine Shop Burd's Nest Hook and Flask Still Works ....as well as the many other local restaurants and pubs to support their businesses and we'll plan to hold the event in 2022! See more

Everyone deserves a day off to hang out with friends! Well, shelter dog, Sailour is having a great time at The Animal Inn playing with other pups and enjoying the sunshine. Thanks to The Animal Inn staff for taking such great care of her on her "day off"!

Loads of thanks to the PA Krunch Blue Elite 18U girl's softball team who collected this load of essential items for our residents! Looks like they knocked out out of the park! Thanks team!

The West Shore Chamber of Commerce recently presented Safe Harbour with a donation from the proceeds from their Annual Golf Outing held on July 20 held at Armitage Golf Club. We thank the Chamber as well as the golfers who participated!

Mark Horvath, our keynote speaker from our 2020 Night Without A Tux gala, and his organization, Invisible People (invisiblepeople.tv), have released a new study that documents What America Believes About Homelessness. The report is noteworthy and informative, for those of us who work each day to address the needs of the most vulnerable of our citizens, this report validates our knowledge and our efforts.

What a delicious donation! Allenberry Resort brought a Thanksgiving Eve feast for our residents! Turkey, meatloaf, ham, potatoes.... even pie! Thank you for thinking of Safe Harbour. We are truly grateful!

The employees of Geodis held a clothing and linen drive for the residents of Safe Harbour. We welcomed the donation which included much needed coats and baby clothing! Thank you to everyone who participated.

The West Shore Chamber of Commerce recently presented the nonprofit beneficiaries of the Luminary Awards Virtual Event with their donations. Shining Star Award recipient, Safe Harbour's own Vice President of Development, Barrie Ann George, selected our organization as her nonprofit beneficiary. Safe Harbour is deeply grateful for the Chamber's recognition and contribution to our organization.

Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week 2020 draws to a close. We hope you learned a bit more about the agencies in our community who address these issues on a daily basis, all committed to helping the most vulnerable and in need. We all thank the community for it's continued support of our work. #HHWeek
