Saint Anthony Lutheran Church 02.02.2021

IMPORTANT: Please read Proverbs 3:5-6 - Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Dearest Family and Friends,... It is with hope in our hearts that we announce a new beginning for the St.Anthony's family. Upon reconciliation of the vote earlier this month, it has been determined that St.Anthony's Lutheran Church will dissolve and we will once again rejoin our family at St.James Lutheran Church on Caster and Pratt. This decision to rejoin was not one that was taken lightly, and we have thoroughly weighed the heaviness of why we chose to leave them in the first place. But trust in the Lord and he will lead you down the right path, and he has led us back to St. James. We know there were some very hurt feeling when we choose to separate ourselves from St.James, 4 years ago, and that has not been forgotten. But the time has come to move forward, with forgiveness in our hearts. As Christians, we bask in the glow of forgiveness every day. And we pray to be forgiven of our trespasses, just as we forgive those who have trespasses against us. Pastor Rob and the current council of St.James, have made a sincere effort to reconcile a fractured congregation. And those individuals who played a part in our original departure, are no longer a threat to our happiness. We preach forgiveness every day, and ask for no less for ourselves. And we must be true to that. St. Anthony is the finder of lost things; and we chose his name because we were a lost congregation - driven out of our home church by the former leadership. But we were never truly lost. We always knew our way, to remain in the light, and not let evil work its way into our hearts. St.James was lost, and being misguided. It took some time for them realize that and reach out to us for unification; and now, forgiveness and forward movement can begin. The formation of St.Anthony's; the finder of lost things, has helped them see the light and find their way back to truth and love. And if nothing else came from our 4 short years as a separate congregation; forgiveness did. St.Anthony's will no longer conduct weekly service at Mayfair Presbyterian, and will begin joining service at St.James. We will always be grateful to Mayfair Presbyterian for allowing us the use of their house of worship, and they will hold a special place in our hearts. If you have any individual concerns, or feel the need to discuss this directly with the St.Anthony's council, please do not hesitate to reach back through this message, privately, or contact Cheryl Swander, Nan Marker, Crystal Sullivan, Diane Frunzi or Eva Andell. We have enjoyed our worship, together with you, and sincerely hope to you see you back at St.James as we move towards a new chapter of love and forgiveness. May you be blessed in all you see and do, The Council of St.Anthony's

Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised. Hebrews 10:36 (NLT) Our transformation will not happen overnight; it will take a lifetime of God-forming and God-shaping to become like His son. But His promise remains: He will keep you strong to the end so that you will be free from all blame on the day when our Lord Jesus Christ returns. (1 Corinthians 1:8)

Do not allow the loud shouts of the devil to drown out the very plain and simple messages from God. "He leads me beside the still waters".
