In anticipation of the snow expected in our area this weekend, we'd like to send a shoutout to our snowplowing crew - thank you for all you do to keep our customers and their properties safe during this cold weather season! See below for a few safety tips to follow to keep yourself and our plow crews safe on the roads: - KEEP YOUR DISTANCE!... Visibility for a snowplow driver is greatly reduced as they work to clear roads and parking lots. Maintaining a safe driving distance while driving behind any snowplow is always a good idea! - DO NOT PASS! Although snowplows may be driving slowly, it's a better idea to stay behind them and let them do their job. You are always better off to follow a snowplow and let them clear your path. If you must pass them, do so slowly. - TURN ON YOUR LIGHTS! With limited visibility during a snowstorm, keep your lights on to make yourself visible to snowplow operators and other drivers - even during daylight hours. - BE ALERT! Snowplow operators stop frequently to ensure that their lights are free of snow and ice. Be sure to leave additional space between your vehicle and the snowplow ahead of you to allow for their frequent and often unexpected stops. Have a great weekend, and stay safe!
