To all our loyal customers, friends & family: As you know or have seen in the last few months that our family Ice cream business was for sale.. What started out as an idea from a vacant boarded up building to restore what it once was as I was a kid growing up in McKeesport and as my first real job as a teenager. We thought this was an idea for our kids to work here growing up. What started as a part-time business has grown to a full time business, which has become too much ...for us to work our full time jobs and manage a full time business so this was why we decided to sell. Last year was our best year ever because of all of you. I am writing this with mixed emotions as of yesterday we have sold Scotty's; however the new owners have plans to keep it the way it is and keep the name. Also they have expressed interest in opening earlier, staying open longer and staying open year round which many of our customers have asked many times in the past which we were not able to accommodate. We will be assisting new owners at the start to make a smooth transition. We are so grateful for all of you because without you we wouldn't have been so successful. We will miss you all and all of our friends that we have made over the past 11 years. The new owners are planning on opening for April 1st. Thank you again! We are officially closed! Thank you to everyone who has been supporting us throughout these 10 years. We had such an amazing season this year despite everything that has been going on.. Wow! Thank you to everyone who stopped last night, we were so busy that we ran out of all of our premium vanilla ice cream! We didn't anticipate to be that busy last night. We are still open today while we clean up and prepare to close for winter. We still have our premium chocolate ice cream and some food still available! BOGO deals on remaining items!
