Thanks for everyone that came out today we had a blast. Lots of kids, Lots of fun! We plan on opening up registration for the next kids ski for free day on February 8th by noon and will post the link on facebook and our website. Violet Allison is the lucky winner of a Free Season Pass for the remainder of the season!

UPDATE. Currently registrations are closed for this event and there are no more free tickets available. Stay tuned for other free days we may have coming up throughout the season. We are sorry if you did not make it in, but we needed to limit the amount of tickets due to Covid related concerns. Paid tickets will still be available to purchase on the day of... thanks. Coming up on Martin Luther King Day January 18th we have Kid’s ski for FREE day. Kids 15 and under Ski For FR...EE this day if they have signed up in advance! NEW THIS YEAR parents will have to sign their kids up in order to receive a free lift ticket. Because of Covid related concerns we are limiting the number of free tickets we give out to 225. Thats half of what we handed out last year. The first 225 kids that are 15 and under who have signed up thru our link will receive the deal. Bring a paper copy or receipt on your phone to receive your ticket on January 18th. This is for lift tickets only, if you need rentals they are at regular price. Anyone else coming that day to buy lift tickets will purchase tickets at regular weekend/ holiday prices. We have extended hours this Monday of 10am-9pm! Helpful tips, friendly reminders going into the Holiday weekend.

Regretfully, we WILL NOT be opening the Tube Slide this season. This was a difficult decision for us, but in the end, it came down to safety. We don’t believe we could run tubing, and do it safely, or effectively, in the age of Covid. We have been busier than expected overall outside and the extra burden the tube slide adds just does not seem manageable at this time. If you combine those things with the extra staffing concerns it poses, as well as the later in the year snowmaking temps, it just seems to add up to more than what this little resort can overcome. Are we giving up? No. Do we care about our tubing crowd? Yes, but we feel this is the most responsible decision we could make at this time. We love our tube slide and will look forward to getting it open again next year.

Ski Sawmill has been making snow every chance we can get. For our slope conditions and to find out what trails are open check out our ski report off of our website. This week our hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 1pm-9pm, Monday and Wednesday closed, Saturday 9-9, Sunday 9-5. Got these yahoo’s to help me shoveling today and wouldn’t ya know it a snowman appeared! See you tomorrow Open 1-9pm. Also this year Tuesdays will be, student appreciation day, students of any grade as long as they have current student, or college ID’s will get 50% off lift tickets and rentals!

There are three generations of Snowmaker‘s in our family. I grew up making snow with my Dad, and now have the joy of doing the same with these two. Having a family business can have its ups and downs, but today was a big up, as we excitedly prepared to make snow in the coming weeks!

It’s not much but kinda gets you excited. Snow!!!

Just a tease of what is to come, soon, to a Ski Area near you! Deadlines for the best deals on this years season pass end Oct. 31st. You can mail payment in Saturday and that will still get you in for the deal!

Preseason training!!

With the recent colder temps we can't help but start getting excited, for what is to come. The changing seasons, brings us one step closer, to being on the snow! We know that this can be a controversial subject, and we respect those of you that like summers sun, springs flowers, or even that pumpkin spice season, but for those of us that love snow, Winter, is where it is at! Everyone keeps asking us "Will you be open this winter?" Yes! We are committed to doing whatever we ...can to stay open this winter. It may look different than what you are used to this ski season, but thats ok! You know what won't change? Snow and our love and passion for sharing it with you. We know how important it is for you to continue doing the things you love, and we are committed to providing opportunities for exactly that to happen this winter. Now this is not scientifically, meteorologically, or anything "ally" based at all, but we are confident this will be one of the best winters ever! I challenge you to get outside and have some fun this winter. Don't get cabin fever. Take a chance on doing something new! Make memories, and take on an adventure with family, friends, or a significant other, because after all that is what life is all about.
