The Bellefonte Borough Police Department is investigating a burglary that occurred late on January 29th into the early morning hours of January 30th 2020. An u...nidentified male entered the Bellefonte VFW on South Spring Street after the establishment closed. The individual entered the building through the back door, the individual then proceeded to the bar area taking a 45 caliber handgun that was being displayed behind the bar. The handgun is a 45 caliber Springfield Armory semi automatic, which was being displayed as a prize that the club had began on January 28th 2020. Security footage showed the male entering the building, taking possession of the firearm then immediately exiting the building through the rear entrance. **** Yeager was taken into custody by PSP on Christmas morning and is now facing additional charges***** STPD currently holds a felony warrant for Jessica Yeage...r. Yeager is wanted for access device fraud, theft and receiving stolen property. Yeager is known to have ties to the Sunnyside area and Philipsburg. Anyone with information is asked to contact STPD. STPD would like to take a moment to recognize everyone who helped with the water rescue yesterday. If it wasn’t for the bystanders, witnesses and volunteers who immediately jumped in that water to help, this could have been a much different outcome.
