Stained Glass by Mel

This piece was inspired to me by my mother in law Deb Baysek. She underwent open heart surgery in July and had multiple complications during recovery. The message here is there is always a guardian angel in our lives, holding our hearts close. Always keep the faith, no matter how bad things get. I am so proud of her, she never gave up and is on her way to being healed and healthy again!

The beginning of a new project. Started yesterday. I plan to build it into a wooden frame once it's soldered. I will post more photos as it progresses!

It's all 1 piece. The front is done except for the Steelers name that will be painted with glass paint in the left middle section. And it will be finished with a black patina and a frame around it. Will post a final pic when complete!! Fun project...

Copper foil is done! Next it's time for solder...

My latest project is getting started...i ran out of glass for the last piece of the boarder. But all other pieces are cut out, these are just the cuts no grinding has been done yet. I'm loving my new cutting tool and the white glass I got at Rupert's Honeyglass Studio. Will follow up when it's ready to be copper foiled.

Finished up a repair on a cute little stained glass lampshade. The top row needed re-copper foiled and soldered and finished with a black petina.

Finished these beautiful sunflowers today. Added 2 hangers at the top and finished with a black patina. I cant believe how much the black makes the whole thing just pop! It will be being delivered to its new home very soon!

It is all one piece! The first side is done, now I just need to finish soldering the back make a few hangers and get some chain. It's a very strong piece. I am happy with this one for sure !!!

Flower #2 is copper foiled and ready for solder. Can't wait to see this when it's totally done. First project like this...
