During MTL this week, students in grades K-5 read a motivational story called Most Marshmallows by Rowboat Watkins. As an extension activity, grades 1,3,4 and 5 participated in a "Marshmallow Tower Challenge"(grades K and 2 will get to do this next week). Mrs. Stanton challenged the students to build a tower out of pasta and marshmallows that was 12 inches tall. As usual, students gave 100% and many reached the goal. Some even surpassed it. One student's tower was over 26 inches tall. We are looking forward to many exciting STEAM activities during MTL in the upcoming weeks!
