It's Friday... Termini Trivia Time! . Before we start, we just want to remind all of you that we are celebrating the New Year with special pricing on items shipped nationwide through the month of January. We are still gathering all of our numbers from the holiday season so that we can use them for our weekly Termini Trivia contests, so this week we are going to do something a little different. . Every season we like to mix things up with introducing different pastries, cakes, and cookies. Well, our first seasonal item of 2021 has arrived... Starting today the Salted Caramel Chocolate Ring Cake has returned and will be available to everyone near and far. That's right, for one week only we are going to ship them nationwide starting this Monday. You will however, have to put on your apron and channel your inner pastry chef as the caramel, salt, and pecans will be packaged separate from the cake. But we are confident you can handle it. We do have one problem though... We need a new name for this cake. . Starting now until Monday at 11:00 everyone can submit up to three (3) name recommendations for the Salted Caramel Chocolate Ring Cake. Your submissions can be anything from actors/actresses, movies, sports figures, songs, and so on. On Monday the sales team and back shop will vote on the top five (5) names, of which one will be chosen to be the new name of our cake throughout the year. I know it's been a while since our last post, but now that we have for the most part recovered from the holidays, we are back and missed all of you very much. To start, we want to wish everyone a Happy New Year... We at the bakery have so much to be grateful for, and are looking forward to an incredible 2021. It has been a crazy holiday season but thanks to your patience and the dedication of our incredible staff we were able to get through it together in one piece. . Star...ting this Friday we will once again be posting our Termini Trivia games and offering fun little tidbits throughout the week. Our online storefront, along with our Termini Brothers App are back up and running with about 90% of our typical inventory available for sale. . We felt terrible about running out of so many of our items over Christmas week and also wanted to do something very special to welcome 2021 so we decided to celebrate by offering special pricing on our entire mail order line throughout the month of January. Due to production capabilities and in an effort to maintain our standard of customer service, we are suspending Christmas Eve pre-orders through Termini.com and through the Termini Brothers App. We are still welcoming customers to visit us in person for over-the-counter service at all of our retail locations with the exception of the Comcast Center. Last night we received a touching message from a long-time customer who has made it a tradition to be first in line every year at Christmas Eve. He wanted to know what the Termini tradition would look like this year and we thought it would be best to share our response with all of you. First, we want to stress that these are unusual times. If you feel uncomfortable, have health concerns, have vulnerable members in your household, please do not feel like you are abandoning u...s. We know that you wanted to be with us at the bakery and we completely understand. We will miss seeing you, but nothing is more important than your health and wellbeing. Second, we have multiple measures in place this year to keep everyone comfortable and safe while they wait to be served. For those of you who want to shop in-store, we will have an associate greet you at the door and take your name and cell phone number. You will then receive a text message with a link to check your place in line. You are free to wait in the comfort of your car, in one of our heated outdoor tents (8th street) or even run other errands locally. When it’s your turn to be served, you will receive a text message telling you to return to the store. We will be practicing social distancing in the store and all customers and store associates are required to wear masks. You can also place your pickup order now at termini.com or on the Termini Brothers App which is available on the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. The order pickup area will be clearly marked when you arrive. The weather forecast is currently calling for rain on Christmas Eve but that could change at any moment. Given how this year has gone, we anticipated this would happen months ago and ordered multiple tents and heat lamps for our 8th street store to keep you warm and dry while you wait. We are starting to get many calls in regard to this year's Termini Brothers holiday experience. We have been working on our holiday plans over the last 2 months and we want you to know, The Tradition Will Continue... . It may look and feel a little different, but you can count on the same level of product quality and customer service that you have come to expect over the past 99 years. However, there are some very important points to make note of. . 1. The Covid19 pandemic... has seriously impacted our holiday production capabilities. So we recommend getting your orders in early to guarantee availability. We have programed our retail online ordering page and our App to accept Thanksgiving pre ordering for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thanksgiving Day. You can also call and place your order over the phone, but we recommend ordering online so you can view all of your options. It's Friday... Termini Trivia Time. . Before we get started we need to apologize to all those who have commented on our page this past week for our lack of response. We do not have a social media team that handles our Facebook and Instagram pages, we instead choose to maintain and post directly by our family to keep our engagement authentic and passionate. Over the past week and probably throughout the holiday season we will have very limited time to respond to all of you ...due to our involvement in holiday production and preparing our stores to be ready for Termini Brothers holiday experience. This week we focused on our Regina Biscotti production. The entire team worked for two straight days mixing, rolling, baking, and packing the light and lemony biscotti. Each cookie needs to be hand rolled in sesame seeds and hand placed on pans for baking. It is a very labor intense item but in keeping with tradition they must be made the same way as our father and grandfather taught us. Each day it took 10 people just over 5 hours to complete the production. This week's Termini Trivia question is How many individual Regina did we make over the two day (100 hours) production period? . Same rules as always.
