Three classes still have open spots for our Fall Session II Semester! This 8-week session lasts October 26th- December 20th. If Painting, Drawing, and Printmaking are calling your name... register now! http://www.ucartsleague.org/classes/adult-programs/... **Brush & Canvas** - This class will delve into the technique and content of painting, with an emphasis on finding out how an image can generate a sense of meaning, drama, and sensation. Using as inspiration the human and animal form, landscapes both real and imagined, language, and a range of objects, architecture, and other forms that represent our history, we will find useful ways to incorporate them into powerful works, from small to large scale. The class will be enriched with examples from art and natural history, including case studies for how human beings have used visual approaches to tell stories, which we will adapt in our work. **Printmaking** - Children's book author and printmaking expert Martha Knox will lead a class for adults who have an interest in art making, animals, habitats, etc! Martha's mixed media prints are a blend of watercolors and careful technique - students will get an introduction to the basics of printmaking while learning how to make art that fits their style. **Works on paper** - Discover new ways of creating drawn imagery! Students will use a variety of mediums in order to explore new and unique ways to express themselves. Subject matter will include still life, and self portraiture. For absolute beginners through intermediate level adult students.
