We have been made aware of some delivery issues with our membership/fund drive this year. The initial mailing went out in August and our second mailing went out several weeks ago. If you have received multiple mailings within a few days or even the same day we apologize as this is out of our hands. If you have not received any mailings and would like to become a member please contact us or visit our website @ www.wbems.org. Thank you for your support.
The best way to protect yourself from COVID19 is to avoid exposure in the first place. Wear a mask, social distance and avoid travel to help protect PA's hospitals and slow the spread of COVID19.
Merry Christmas from Western Berks Ambulance.
Merry Christmas to those who are working and cannot be with their families this holiday. Thank you and stay safe!

Western Berks Ambulance is being featured in the October issue of Wyomissing Neighbors Magazine. The article focuses on our membership drive and includes quotes from our leadership team. We are proud to share with our community what we do on a daily basis each and every day. Compassion Dedication Service For 60 Years.

Western Berks Ambulance is sad to announce the passing of long time employee Bruce Dickinson. Bruce was a dedicated employee who served his community. Bruce could be seen every Wednesday Directing Traffic at Woodside and Noble for the West Lawn Church. Bruce was also a dedicated member of several fire departments serving as fire police. Bruce was also a very proud retired member of the United States Coast Guard. Our thought and prayers go out to Bruce's Family and friends during this difficult time. Rest easy brother we got it from here.
Wishing everyone a happy Labor Day weekend.

TODAY is the day to be thinking about the flash flooding that will almost assuredly be happening tomorrow in Berks County. There will be rain approaching 1"/hr.... across the region for a multi-hour period tomorrow mid-afternoon. As always, "locally heavier rainfall is possible." There WILL BE street and small stream flooding. River flooding is not presently expected to be a concern. Secure your property, check gutters and drains to be sure they are open. Check street drains in your neighborhood. If there is debris, pick it up with a shovel and put it in the trash. It may not be your responsibility, but there are only so many public works workers and that little bit of work could save your property. While winds are only anticipated to top out around 20 mph (update 8/3 1430 hrs. - now expecting 30+ mph), these winds will be from varying directions as the storm passes, and the ground is already saturated. This means there is a high likelihood of wires down and electrical outages. Be prepared for extended power outages. Check on your neighbors, especially the elderly and infirm. DO NOT DRIVE INTO STANDING WATER EVEN IF YOU THINK YOU CAN MAKE IT THROUGH!!!
