Starting today, January 18th, the library will be again open for a limited amount of appointments to browse the collection and use the computers. Curbside will still be available. We have a new "temporary" home! Starting Feb 1st you can find our pop-up PA CareerLink at the downtown Altoona Transportation Center: 1231 11th Ave. Altoona, P...A 16601. Hours: Monday - Thursday 9:00 - 3:00. Friday - closed for in person services, but virtual appointments available. Please call us for an in-person or virtual appointment: 814-940-6200. Our phones are busy so if we do not pick up, please leave a message and we will call you back! Street parking - 2 hour limit; Parking garage - free to CareerLink clients. We're hoping the Altoona Public Library flood recovery proceeds quickly, but for now, we're thrilled to be able to help folks that need a place to do their job searches, work on resumes, connect with a career coach -- all no cost services. Thanks so much to the City of Altoona for making this space available, a great community partnership! And a reminder: we do no have a phone line or direct connection to the Unemployment Center.
