What things do you have saved from races at Reading , that have special value to you, and why?

ATTENTION: Due to the CoVid19 situation we are changing some arrangements on visiting the museum. The Gift Shop will be open on Friday's from 10 AM till 4 PM f...or those who wish to be able to shop BUT the museum itself will be closed to visitors until further notice. We will be CLOSED on the following Fridays - December 25th for Christmas and January 1st for New Years. We will be open if there is a special event such as a Sunday Roundtable that would be happening. Keep a watching in the announcements for any schedule updates once the Yellow Schedule comes out or when I am given information to post.

Gen. Chuck Yeager has passed. Feb. 13, 1923 ~ Dec. 7, 2020. Rest in Peace good man. Here with Joie Chitwood Sr., Yeager was a spokesperson with AC Delco Parts for many years.

Here is wh...ere you’ll find the immaculately restored car of the legendary Louie Vermeil Classic - Calistoga Speedway, father of NFL coach Dick Vermeil Wines! Long a staple of racing in California, Louie was the king of Calistoga Speedway. Vermeil built the first race car in Calistoga in 1937 and served in various speedway roles, including publicist, referee, business manager and president. The time at the race track was instrumental in the youth of Dick Vermeil in pursuit of a hall of fame career as a coach in the NFL! Here we talk with Lynn Paxton about how they came into possession of the car, the history of the car and more in preparation for Dick’s visit to EMMR. Unfortunately the event has been cancelled due to Covid-19 concerns, but we wanted TO share the video anyways. Lynn and team are actively trying to book Dick for a return in the spring.
