RE: Fireworks in Grays Ferry The seemingly unrelenting use of fireworks has been a concern to many recently. Brian Clinton from the Mayor's Office spoke to Cap...tain O'Donnell from the 17th Police District regarding the complaints we have received about the use of fireworks all over the City. The Captain advised that lighting fireworks within 150 feet of an occupied structure or on private property without the owner's consent is illegal. If you have an exact location of where fireworks are actively being set off, Captain O'Donnell said you can feel free to dial 911. If you have a block or intersection where the use of fireworks has been heavy, feel free to pass them along to GFCC and we can let the 17th know. Be safe!
