I watch the things of nature and in them I see so many lessons God has for us. Near where I live is a nesting site for vultures. Daily I see them soaring and gliding on the air currents, always hunting for their next vulgar, disgusting meal of road kill or some other dead things. I was watching them one day circling and hunting when suddenly they all just disappeared. Curious, I continued to watch the sky waiting for them to return when into my peripheral vision I saw movemen...t and turned to look. There up high was a majestic bald eagle. It was soaring so high in the air it was hard to even look at against the sunny sky. In that moment God spoke to me when the eagle soars the vultures run. The scripture from Isaiah 40 came to mind Isaiah 40:31 but those who trust in the Lord will renew their strength; they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not faint. The devil and demons will circle you looking for a chance to kill, steal, or destroy. But when you are soaring like an eagle the demons all run and hide. Trusting in God, obeying His will and His Word will cause you to soar like that eagle. Submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you. See more
