The racing season can't come soon enough. Here's a clip of Luis' 7sec Nova making a pass at Cecil county dragway. His car is LS turbo powered with a Holley dominator controlling all the madness. #holleyefi #acetuned #psrperformance #dragracing #nova

A little bit of a dyno tuning lesson for today. It's often speculated that one specific brand will read different than another. Often times from my experience it's operator error more than anything else that can throw dyno numbers off. For comparison sake about a year ago we took a FBO ZL1 camaro and ran it on 4 dynos locally. When tuned with a fire ace tuned flash this car made 650rwhp on a Dynojet 224. Later that day we put that same car on another dynojet 224 about 20 mile...s away and made the same 650rwhp. A little while later we took that same car, same tune and ran it on the mustang dyno at PSR Performance and made the same 650rwhp. Posted are the mustang dyno charts and the charts from the Last dynojet we were on. I also added a chart from dynojet with STD correction instead of SAE where you can see the numbers are higher under that correction factor. The Mustang dyno numbers are under SAE correction. Moral of the story, a dyno is just a tool for tuning and it is only as good as the person operating it. Understanding the ins and out of operation really can change the perspective on the numbers your car is making. At the end of the day it's the tune that matters with making power not the roller it's on. #acetuned #dynotuning #psrperformance

*Hands on Standalone tuning class* I've been doing some classes recently at PSR Performance teaching others about dyno tuning. I'll be holding another class on January 30th on standalone tuning using a Holley Terminator X on a Turbo LS. This will be a beginners type class but we will be focusing on advanced skills as well. For anyone interested email [email protected] or message the ace tuned page. Thank you all for your continued support.

I've always wanted to put a document together giving a generalized idea on how to read your spark plugs. So this morning I cut and colored some plugs. I always make sure when someone is coming in for a dyno tune to explain the importance of reading plugs. Now I have created some better visuals of Actual plugs we've ran on the dyno at PSR Performance Interesting in learning more join our tuning school group Ace Tuning School Group
