FALL 2021 Junior 4H Shooting : The Fall season will begin on WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 8. Shooters should arrive at the Club by 5:15pm. The first relay will begin 5:45-6:00pm. Alexandria Sportmans Club provides all equipment. Ammunition may be purchased from the Club at cost or you may provide your own 50-60 rounds of Standard Velocity .22 ammunition. REMINDER: Shooting practice follows the Juniata Valley School District schedule. If school is canceled or dismissed early, then shooting is canceled; if there is a delay but school lets out at the regular time, then shooting will be held.
Prospective hunters will now be able to take the National Rifle Association’s FREE hunter education course online to satisfy the certification prerequisite to... purchase a hunting license. The NRA course will be offered free of charge in addition to the in-person and online courses currently offered by the Game Commission. In-person courses are back up and running after a year of being available on a limited basis during the pandemic. This is a unique match in several ways. The amount of money given out with the purpose of scholarships hasn’t been previously done except at National Competitions. There are 5 matches going on throughout the weekend on 3 different ranges!!
If you are a graduating senior, a PA state resident, and a member of the PRPA, you qualify to be considered for the David Cramer Memorial Scholarship. Each applicant must fill out the application (posted here) and have it postmarked no later than May 1, 2021.

American Smallbore Shooting Assoc is pleased to announce that the 2021 Intercollegiate Rifle Club Championships will be held April 10-11, 2021 at the X-Count facility located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The championships will consist of both individual and team events consisting of smallbore 3-position and precision air rifle fired on the state of the art X-Count indoor range. Due to a change in state law, big game hunting will be pe...rmitted on the following dates: November 15 for archery deer hunting; November 22 for bear hunting; and November 29 for deer hunting during regular firearms season. In addition to deer rifle season opening on November 28, we hope Sunday hunting will provide more opportunities for hunters to get out this year. The Pennsylvania Game Commission recently launched its new podcast, Call of the Outdoors, a series of episodes focused on wildlife, hunting, habitat and conservation across the Keystone State. 4-H Junior Rifle Shooting will begin on Wednesday JANUARY 8. All interested junior shooters at least 12-years-of-age may participate. You do not need to own any equipment. We have everything you will need (you will need to puchase .22 ammo if you do not bring your own). Stop by and talk with our leaders about this 4-H program! The first relay of shooters will begin at approximately 5:45pm, so please come before 5:30pm. Parents are welcome to stay and learn too.
