Alexandria Manor

The Activities Department is going to do a SPECIAL LUNCH for our Residents for Valentine's Day! With Covid no parties or gatherings, so I have decided to cook a special lunch!!!!! The Residents will be treated to their choice of either Chicken Piccata or Shrimp Scampi, buttered noodles, mixed vegetables, dinner roll and a Jello/Pudding parfait for desert!

Merry Christmas

COVID has caused a lot of changes in all our lives and has been quite the challenge! It has been even more evident in our nursing homes, personal care facilities and assisted living homes! Trying to keep morale of our residents up and trying to make things as normal as possible for the situation has been quite the challenge! It’s even more difficult around the Holidays! I know as Activities Director it’s been even more challenging!!! I care so much about the physical and ment...al Heath of all our residents and have worked long and hard at doing so!!! Christmas is especially challenging! We cannot have people come into our facility....we have to social distance.... so my normal Christmas Celebration was quite the challenge! I set up and decorated trees in every dining room and decided to make a Christmas Celebration Lunch to give the effect of a home cooked meal! I made everything from scratch for our 75 something (too tired to check exact number) of Residents! Got my assistant to let us use her 60 year old Santa Suite and got one of our Medtechs ( the funny crazy one) to play Santa and one of our laundry ladies to be his/her elf! The Resudents LOVED it and had a great meal, lots of laughs and a fantastic time! I will post some pictures! Our Outdoor Fathers Day Celebration with our very special guest from the Iron Pigs.....Ferrous!!! What fun! The fathers special treats was a small fire pit!! Thank you to Dolores for providing the music last minute when the CONFIRMED DJ ended up being a no call/no show!

Live entertainment back at the Nazareth Manor with social distancing and outdoors until we can move inside! But as nice as this is......maybe we’ll do this all summer instead of going back inside! One of our favorite entertainers... Rob Bellenoff!! And more of our favorites to come!
