Good morning our salon family! A few words from Tim.For some time now I’ve been paying out of pocket for my health insurance at the cost of $550 a month. That’s a lot for a single person. I spent a day to make a thousand calls and see what options are available. Not many It absolutely sickens me that I have to make life decisions based on health insurance but that’s the reality of it! With that said I have accepted a part time position at Lehigh Valley Hospital which offe...rs benefits. My job you ask? Merchandising specialist, which means I’ll be making things look really pretty in the gift shops! I’m excited to start this position The downside of this is that I will be cutting down the hours I spend in the shop. Oh trust me I’ll be there, but not 13 hours a day everyday. I’ve gone though this in my head a million times and came up with a schedule I think will work. The hardest part will be that no matter what I may have to loose some clients, my head is prepared for this my heart is not. So there ya have it! Sorry it’s not as exciting as you all hoped. Just a bit of reality I’ll start my new gig on November 1rst! I’m excited about it and think it will be a perfect fit! Please be aware that if you were coming to the shop this week 22nd St. will be closed for repaving. Please allow yourself a little extra time to find a parking place!!

This just in...if you are fully vaccinated and comfortable removing your face mask you may do so. If you have not been fully vaccinated we ask that you keep your mask on during your salon visit. Joanie and I have both been fully vaccinated and we look forward to seeing your faces!!

Well here we are just a year since covid hit and put so many of us in uncharted waters I want to thank each and every one of my friends and clients for all the continued support of Altered Images Hair Studio. It’s because of your loyalty, your generosity, and support that I’m happy to say we are good to go!! Things may not be exactly what we are use to at the shop but we are a strong salon family and will make it work no matter what we must do! So on behalf of Joan Menarde-Dasilva and myself all I can say is thank you!! Please know there is so much more behind those two words than you will ever know!! Stay beautiful

Yep it’s that time again. Please be mindful of parking signs when coming to the salon. Our side gets cleaned on a Wednesday between 12 and three the opposite side on a Thursday between 12 and three!!

It was a nice week off but time to get the shop open to start our 10th year in business. We even put up fresh plastic curtains for you!! Looking forward to seeing everyone in 2021!!

Happy Friday! Many of you have reached out to ask if the salon is affected by the new closings. The great answer is NO!! Thank the lord. We take every precaut...ion possible for your and our safety. I’m dumbfounded!! Clients have come into the shop and told us their friends and family who go to other hair salons are being told the stylist can not blow dry their hair?? What the hell? I have looked every place possible and nowhere is there any mandate saying salons can not blow dry hair because it could blow viral droplets! Ridiculous!! Lazy opportunistic business practices I think! Get clients in and out and as fast as possible to make more money. I don’t like it and... take great pride in my profession and cheapening this way infuriates me. Also salons that are tacking on a covid surcharge? Insane and anyone who pays it is crazy!! At Altered Images we will blow dry and style your hair and we have no extra fees since covid. Ok my rant is over! See more

Good morning. Well it’s not easy being green but the day has finally arrived! Please call for your appointment. Be patient as we have many calls to make. Can’t wait to see everyone.

WHAT TO EXPECT as we open our doors on JUNE 26th!! I will have some things written on the window as you walk in but here’s the run down. there will be a table with hand sanitizer outside of shop, please use before you even touch the door handle ... all clients will have their temperature taken with contactless reader. Anything above 100.4 you may be asked to reschedule including Joanie and myself we may only have 6 people in the shop at one time all magazines and reading material have been discarded clients are required to wear a mask upon entering we ask that only the person with the appointment comes into the shop. if we are at capacity there will be table and chairs out front to wait your stylist will wear a mask and we are required to wear safety goggles when shampooing we kindly ask that though we still have beverages and snacks please do not help yourself to any of these. We will be happy to get you anything you need please know we will be wiping, spraying, and disinfectioning everything multiple times everyday to keep not only us but our dear clientele as safe as possible each client will be required to read and sign a waiver of liability form clear plastic curtain have been hung between styling chairs and shampoo stations I know this sounds like a lot to take in but I promise we will do our very best to keep things to the standard to which we like this is new to all of us but our new normal for the time being we have not seen you in over 3 months and are so excited to get our hands on you!! deep breath, calm the nerves, and off we go!!!! Well here we go!!! The studio will be open for business on FRIDAY JUNE 26TH Appointments...... As you can imagine it will be a bit crazy and we will have many clients to reach out to. Good morning to our wonderful salon family. If I read correctly and my math is on point we will be opening on Monday the 29th. Can not wait. We ask for you patience as we figure out how we get all your appointments in the book. We of course will do all we can to make this reopening as safe and smooth as possible. Hello one and all. There are no words to explain how much we not only miss you but miss our craft. Who would have thought? When I closed the door March 15th I thought eh, about 3 weeks. Here we are almost over 3 months ! Hopefully we receive word soon The shop is ready and our pencils are sharpened I know we are tired of hearing this but please hang in there. We will see you soon

Just checking in on everyone. Are we all holding up ok? Hopefully you are. At this point we have all done something with our hair I’m sure. Fear not we are ready for you!! Not only ready but anxious to get back to the studio! Finishing touches on the shop this weekend and as soon as we get the ok to open our doors we will!! Soon I hope!

Happy June first. Though many businesses will start to open on June 5th we will not. The salon can not open until we are in the green. We can not make appointments for the many of you who have asked until we have that opening date. We are almost there I promise. Over the next couple weeks I’ll be posting some of the new normals you can expect at the studio. ... It won’t be too bad I promise.
