February 27th at The Antioch place in Shamokin, from 12-4, Marty Sinopoli Ministries will be holding a ***PROM DRESS GIVEAWAY EVENT** Our board and volunteers... have collected 65 dresses so that girls that can't afford to go to the prom can have the opportunity to do so! There will also be a random drawing, with three girls being gifted appointments to get their hair, nails, and make up done from local salons.The salons will be named in February! Please spread the word to anyone you might know who would benefit from this! Also, I ask for prayers for this event to be blessed. See more

Life Tree Cafe and God's Chuckwagon have partnered up to make sure the school children are being fed. Starting Monday , any day the teachers strike we will be s...erving a free hot lunch to any student in the Shamokin Area School District , until the strike is settled. We will serve Monday - Friday . 12 -1:30 at Antioch Place, 531 N. Market St. in Shamokin. These meals are for students only. ATTENTION: Thank you to those of you that have offered to help out local families this Thanksgiving season! Here is the drop off/ pickup information: Food drop... offs will be Friday the 20th from 3-5:30pm behind the life Tree cafe (at the garage) in Shamokin. A volunteer will be picking up your donations locally in Mt Carmel/Kulpmont/ Shamokin area on Saturday from 10am till noon. Please message your address to the ministry if you have donations to be picked up on Saturday. Food needed are turkeys, boxed mashed potatoes, canned gravy, boxed stuffing, sweet potatoes, canned veggies, cranberry sauce, and baked goods. We are trying to spread the holiday cheer to as many needy families as we can. Thank you so much for your support! See more

The Center of Hope's FREE mentoring classes are going to be starting in January! One of them will be "Couponing Effectively/Saving Money in the Kitchen". This will be a series of classes that will teach you how to use coupons to cut your grocery bill drastically, how to better manage costs in your own kitchen, cooking on a budget and other tips and tricks to save you a ton of money! First class will be held on January 13th, 6:00 pm, at Antioch Place, 531 N. Market Street in Shamokin. Hope to see you there!
