Glassworkers at C. Dorflinger & Sons, White Mills, Pennsylvania, circa 1910, near the shipping room, lower factory. [A second print of this photograph in the Da...vid J. Dorflinger Archive has Blowing Dept 1901 on the reverse. It is more likely that circa 1910 is correct as Orville Branning appears in the fourth row. Orville E. Branning was born in 1898. He, and his brothers Earl and Percy, carved their names in a stone which now sits in front of the restored glassworker’s house on Charles Street.] First Row, left to right: William Kelch, James Austin, Unknown, William Weinberger, Fritz Vogel, Fred Houth, Bill Garrett, Norman Reiffler, Bill Loll, Rudy Laabs, Pat Lane, Erik Liljequist. Second Row, left to right: Lester Rice, Norman Eppley, Unknown Dean, Unknown, Edmund Williams, Charles C. LaTournous, Walter Johnson, Billy Hellman, Tony Strasser, Unknown, Unknown, Alec Kitner, George Warner, Ernst Von Dohln, Frank Falk, Unknown, Bill Ellison, Gustave Kelch. Third Row, left to right: Gus Liljequist, Rudolph Johnson, Eddie Guthiel, Joe Falk, Louis Falk, Iloff Falk, Joe Hannel, Willie Rolleson, Unknown. Fourth Row, left to right, Unknown, Unknown, Orville Branning. Clearly, one of the men was not so pleased to be photographed as some of his coworkers. The unidentified man (11th from the left in the second row) is sporting a serious black eye, much to the amusement of the guys around him. Photograph courtesy of the families of Walter and Carl LaTournous. This photograph hung on the wall in Wally and Carl LaTournous’ glass shop on Route 6. Over many years, they were able to identify many of the men in the photograph. Can you help us identify any of the Unknowns?

We working with Native! It is said that these skaters came from Skate-O-Rama in Eynon. Does anyone remember going there? I would love to hear your stories or see photos! (I lost my last post, sorry for the duplicate!)
