ASCA Gymnastics 27.12.2020

Big shout out to all ASCA Rhythmic Team athletes, coaches, admins, and parents for the hard work, dedication, and flexibility to the fast changing reality! Luckily at the last moment before closing, we were able to film all our routines so we can participate in a virtual competition during the break. This was a tough year for all of us: 3 months of lockdown, Zoom practices, returning to the gym, returning to being in shape, new levels, new team members, new apparatuses, new routines, and Zoom competitions! Still, we went through all this together and now we are stronger and more motivated than before! Now we can all enjoy the Holidays with our families. Stay healthy and we look forward to seeing you all on January 4th, 2021.

And here is the long-awaited video for the anthem of the European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships 2020! The song "Only You" is performed by the famous Ukrainian-Bolivian singer Michelle Andrade. According to Ireesha Blokhina, Vice-President of the Ukrainian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation, the slogan of the European Championships is the phrase "You Make This World Glow". It's about every gymnast who goes on the carpet with her 90-second performance. There is only she and a... huge carpet - everything on it depends only on the gymnast. She creates her own destiny and victory. "Rhythmic gymnastics is an incredibly beautiful sport that requires a lot of inner strength. I had such a sporting experience as a child, so I know exactly what hard work and dedication are. That’s why it's very important to have some source of inspiration and energy - and I hope the song "Only You" will be just such a source, it will inspire and charge every girl to win! It is a great honor for me to be the voice of this year's Championships and to sing for the whole world of gymnastics", said Michelle Andrade. Thanks to the national teams and all the gymnasts who sent their videos ! See more
