From his socially-distant platform, Santa can’t wait to see everyone for our final night of Christmas in Coal Country! #ebtrr #christmasincoalcountry #santa

Have you purchased your "Christmas in Coal Country" tickets yet? We're busy planning decorations and lights for the station, our open train cars, and the trolleys (and Santa's been working on his beard he stopped by the station the other day with an update!) We're even working on a model railroad! And we're making sure everyone will be safe and socially distanced. For tickets and details, visit https://eastbroadtop.com/christmas-event2020.html We look forward to sharing the holiday spirit with all!

If you don't count Monday morning's snow, it's been a great week for getting work done at the EBT.

Happy Halloween from the East Broad Top! Unfortunately, Roy Wilburn’s ghost took a mental-health day. But we have the in-real-life Henry Long filling in! We gave away all the candy we had.

A slew of terrific photographers were here over the weekend for a private photo event involving locomotives, lights, reenactors, and even smoke bombs. Yesterday afternoon, though, all was quiet and back to normal.

For the first time in 35 years, a set of drivers was dropped from under a locomotive in the EBT shops this morning. No. 14's front axle was positioned over the pit jack, the pit rails were removed, and the drivers were slowed lowered out of the frame. The 14 will get new steel wheel centers.
