On the eve of the 2020 US Presidential Election, Ngawa Center for Autistic Disabilities is urging all to acknowledge that VOTING is a right and a civic duty!! W...e encourage Legal guardians; Power of Attoneys; Trustees and all those representing your loved ones and clients fairly by assuring that you assist them in voting for the candidates favorable to their daily struggles. One perception that prevents adults with ID from participating in the voting process is the belief that they do not understand the voting process and may be unable to make complex decisions about questions on the ballot. For example, they certainly know that budget cuts to the services they rely on will negatively impact their lives.
