The theme of class this Saturday is "Pass the Bubbly it's 2021!" Bubbles can teach us to float - to be resilient, buoyant, and rise above! We will also work on "corkscrew" actions in the arms to help align the shoulders and create openness and stability. Join me on the mat Saturday at 11 on zoom! please RSVP by emailing [email protected]. Class cards available, or drop in rate $10 via paypal/venmo/zelle.
hi everyone! I hope you had a wonderful holiday, considering the circumstances. In this level 1/2 practice, we focus intimately on the details of the pose Gomukasana - Cow Faced Pose. I'll break down the sanskrit of this pose and dive into the deeper meaning behind the words. Throughout this class, we will try creative shapes to help prepare the body for the peak pose which requires warming up the shoulders and hips. Join me Friday on Zoom for a special post-Thanksgiving gentle practice. Sign up at the link below - preferably the night before, but by 9 am Friday. $10 per person. Benefits Southern Lehigh Public Library. In Friday's live class this week we will begin practice with a prayer for peace and cultivate that sense of peace throughout class. On of my favorite teachers, Rod Stryker, teaches us to "anchor to peace." For what we think, we become. Practicing thoughts of peace often co...mes easier when we make our practice a regular habit. Taking it off the mat is always the challenge. We will use gentle yoga, breathwork and meditation to help us anchor to peace both on and off the mat. This class would be lovely with the playlist of the month, found below. Please play your music on a separate device from your zoom call for best results. https://www.solehipl.org///19/gentle-yoga-classes-on-zoom/ playlist: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/0i2hS1akjd3qlHYzxioF7T
Join me for the last gentle yoga class of 2020! 10-11 am on zoom Wednesday! To register, email [email protected] and send $10 payment through venmo/paypal. We have all been through a lot in this past year. In order to move forward, we must process and release our experience and emotions. Otherwise, the residue of 2020 colors everything going forward. We will practice to clear the past year and be receptive to what comes next. Zoom link sent by 9:30 am.
In this gentle yoga practice, we will discuss and embody the concept of santosha, or contentment. This is a concept often mentioned in yoga philosophy studies and refers to finding contentment not only when life is good, but when we are dealing with life's challenges as well. I'll also touch on how we are often very discontent with our own bodies both on and off the mat. The practice is a soothing, calming sequence to encourage us to be content in the moment. Please practice safely and listen to your body. By taking these videos, you agree not to hold Deanna Nagle Yoga or Awaken Yoga accountable. These videos are filmed with the support of your donations.
