October Art Wall by Rosemary Luksha Rosemary Luksha, of Larksville, will be displaying her oriental brush paintings this October. They are created in opaque watercolor with subjects of birds, flowers and plants. The paintings are done in the style of oriental watercolorist Leslie Tseng Tseng Yu. Rosemary has been painting for over 60 years, but has been doing brush painting for the last 7. She became interested in this form of art after taking an oriental brush class and was ...amazed at the concentration and focus needed. Each new stroke needed to be practiced multiple times before creating a work with it. The simplicity and beauty are so incredible. What can be done with few strokes can be amazing, she said. Rosemary likes to visualize what she wants to create, and also researches other similar works to add images or effects that will create a total aesthetic whole to her work. She participates in the Wyoming Valley Art League Third Friday, the WB Fine Arts Fiesta, and also does oil, pastel and watercolor portrait commissions. If you are interested in contacting her about a commissioned work or purchasing, she can be reached at [email protected] or 570-287-4075. See more
