Back Rhodes Elk Adventures 13.11.2020

Hi Folks, It is that time of year to get in the ELK drawing. The herd made it thru the winter and are enjoying green grass. The bulls have a lot of new growth and a lot of good bulls have been spotted so far. The weather is hot and elk viewing is best early morning or late evening. You may get lucky and see a mother and her calf out in a food plot. Good luck in the elk drawing and give us a call here at Back Rhodes Elk Adventures.

As the owner and operator I was sadden to learn of the passing of one of our group. Karen Early had a battle with her health and wae called home to be with the lord this past week. She was the camp leader as she took phone calls from the guides as they got there elk harvested. She helped with the meals and kept things moving smooth. On behalf of Back Rhodes you will be missed and thank you for all you did. On behalf of the people involved with Back Rhodes and friends of Back Rhodes let us all keep Ernie and his family in our prayers. Rest in peace and may god bless. Thank you Karen. Scott

Good morning, I am on here with a heavey heart, as many already know I was unable too run the outfitter business this past year and the guy that did was good to take over. I have talked with him and some of the guides and with my health going the wrong way in the past year I am closing down Back Rhodes Elk Adventures. My future is not clear for me right now and with not being in good enough health to do any guiding I feel this is the right thing to do. God bless you all for the support you have intrusted in me and my outfitt over the years. I will miss being out there in the fall, but this is the best right now. Merry Christmas to all. Scott

Hey it has been awhile and the winter was here for to long. The antlers are dropping and it is a good time to be in Elk Country to see the Elk starting to get around and out and about. The snow is still deep in spot, but it is going down on these nice warmer days.

It is a great time to come visit the elk, new growth of the antlers is showing up and the elk are out and about. I saw 7 bulls Thursday with a lot of new antlers showing up. The elk had a hard winter and they are also glad to see sunshine and green grass!

Well, here in Elk Country it is the time of year that the elk are moving back to there winter and summering grounds as we see the bulls in places they moved away from during the rut. The leaves are coming down and there is a chill in the air. This is a great place to see mother nature at her best. Scouting for the coming elk hunt is great as we see a lot of elk back where they belong.

As we head into October and the Elk are into the rut, the leaves are changing, and nature is at its best, I set back and reflect on the good times and sights and sounds of Elk Country. I invite you all to come see what I see.
