We can’t believe our 2020-2021 preseason is less than a month away, but our Bears have still been busy over the summer! Congratulations to Clara Page ’22 on being selected to the 2020 All-America Underclass Philadelphia Highlight Team! The AllAmerica Underclass Tournament is known throughout the sport as the most prestigious high school event! The team is comprised of 23 talented lacrosse players chosen to represent the Philadelphia region at this year’s tournament to be hel...d in Baltimore. Congratulations to Megan Adelman ’23 for being named the 2020 Club Champion for Bala Golf Club. She shot 81/75 and claimed victory by 18 strokes in 100 degree heat! Megan is the youngest to ever win the Women’s Championship! Congratulations to Anya Mostek ’22 for being named as a 2019-2020 NISCA Girls High School Swimming All-American in the 100 yard backstroke! Our final #SeniorSpotlight shines on Hanna Maier ’20. My favorite Baldwin memory is Ring Day sophomore year. I enjoyed receiving my ring and being able to take... photos, hand stretched out, with many of my friends. I was also able to decorate the North door and main gates with green streamers and vines. It was truly an amazing experience where I was able to connect with many girls in my grade that I was not close with prior to the grade sleepover. My favorite athletics memory is from the softball season sophomore year when we played EA. My two-run homerun and the assisted triple play from the second-baseman and short-stop led us to victory on our home field. The intense energy and determination the entire Baldwin softball team displayed throughout the game is something I will never forget. I will be attending Franklin & Marshall College where I will be playing softball and studying health sciences. My advice for my younger Baldwin sisters is to take advantage of the many opportunities you are given throughout your time at Baldwin. You are blessed with an incredible education and given numerous opportunities, so make the most of everything and use it to help you grow as a student and individual. The athletic advice I would give to the returning Baldwin athletes is to continuously work hard and strive to make yourself better, because there will always be someone waiting to take your spot. #BaldwinProud #Classof2020 See more
