Bassett Industries: Reverse Engineering and Design Assistance in the Automotive Industry Bassett Industries continues to be an industry leader in tube & sheet fabrication utilizing our reverse engineering capabilities to solve customer problems. Recently, an automotive restoration shop visited us with pieces of bent tubing cobbled together for a stainless steel exhaust system. He had traveled throughout the East and Midwest trying to find a company that could manufacture them... in a one piece design. He found no one capable until he came to Bassett. The original parts he supplied were spliced, hammered, hand bent and welded together. Using the latest software technologies, our engineering department was able to digitize the customer’s parts and successfully fabricate to his intended design in one week.
